Foundry Kids

What if Foundry Kids?

What if Foundry Kids?

Foundry Kids is our children's ministry for infant to 5th graders that meets on Sundays at 10:00 AM during our worship service. We are built around three core beliefs about how kids grow spiritually.

Kids grow closer to God when:

  • THEY FORGE RELATIONSHIPS WITH GODLY ADULTS
  • THEY OPEN THEIR BIBLE EVERY WEEK
  • THE CHURCH TEAMS UP WITH THE FAMILY

What Curriculum do you use?

What Curriculum do you use?

Each week a group of trained adults teach straight from the pages of the Bible. We use Tru-Curriculum, a Bible-centered resource that encourages Bible memorization, chronological teaching and FUN!

Each week we aspire for kids to leave with a smile and A desire to come back next week.

Key Features of Tru

Chronological Teaching
More than recognizing the wider context of a passage or book of the Bible, it is the framing of every event and story within the larger progression of God’s Grand Redemptive Narrative! Each week we continue God's Big Story as we march chronologically through the Bible.

God's Story, Not Ours
By remembering that this is God’s story we have been invited into, we prevent the subtle shift of seeing God as a secondary character instead of the one who is really driving the plot. Consider the difference between the statements, “I am brave for God,” and “God makes me brave.”

Large Group, Small group fun
Kids forge relationships through regularity and fun. Our volunteers understand the importance of being a regular part of your child's life. Every week our leaders create fun activities, crafts and connect time aimed at helping kids find meaningful relationships through games and conversation.

Parents take the lead
Provided as a parent resource with each week’s lesson, "AT HOME WEEKLY" is designed to help your parents intentionally spend time in God’s Word with their children before they come to church. This way, parents will be the first to introduce their children to the Bible content they’ll hear at church, preparing them for the upcoming lesson.

Safety at Foundry Kids

Safety is a top priority at Foundry Kids. We take every step to create a secure, clean and loving environment for our children and their families. To do this, we've created a set of safety procedures.

Check-in
Children must be checked in before they can enter their classroom. Check-in opens 15 minutes before service.

Name tags / "Parent tags"
Check-in name tags must be worn by children at all times. These tags tell our volunteers relevant allergy information and which to which class they belong. Parents are given a matching parent tag, required to pick up their child. If you lose your tag, you'll need to provide proper ID to claim your child.

Emergency number
At check-in, every family will be required to provide an emergency cell phone number. This number will only be used during service if their child needs their immediate attention.

Food
Due to the prevalence of allergies in children, we don't allow any food in the children's wing. Generally, we don't serve any snacks in any class except for certain party Sundays. All potential allergens used during kid's church will be posted in the check-in room.

Wellness
Because sanitation is so important, sick kids will be asked to try again next week. Acceptable symptoms include: mild cough, light running nose. Unacceptable symptoms include: Fever, regular/heavy cough, runny nose with yellow or green mucus, diarrhea or vomiting.
